Solicitation Chair Needed

Here's your opportunity to volunteer for the Beaver Dam Lake Improvement Association (BDLIA) and help with our annual fundraising banquet!

BDLIA is a non-profit 501-c3 organization that strives to engage the community in recreational activities; generate long-term restoration projects working with like-minded, but diverse partners; and educate the community on improving the quality of Beaver Dam Lake. To achieve our mission, we must raise funds for these activities. To date, our prime source of revenue is through our fundraising banquet and donation requests during the banquet planning period.

BDLIA is looking for a Solicitation Chair to work with the Banquet Chair and Fundraising Committee to revamp our current solicitation process with a top-down approach on how and who to approach for merchandise or cash donations. Our current fundraising banquet is seen not only as a source of revenue, but also as a community engagement event.

Additional functions seen for this person would be to develop materials and train solicitors; follow up with solicitors to help meet deadlines; and prep banquet donations for input into the banquet database for placement.

Ideally, the Solicitation Chair would be disciplined and organized with sales-type experience.

Water Resource Management from the UW-Nelson Institute Presentation with Findings and Recommendations for Beaver Dam Lake
